Job Description Summary
This role will be responsible for operations and processes that help the commercial and strategy organization achieve business objectives. This role will own and influence commercial operating guidelines, process formulation , process strengthening and will drive ownership over planning cycles for the annual budgets including associated operating rhythms, guided by functional policy. The individual is expected to demonstrate high levels of Commercial and operational judgment to achieve outcomes required for the annual targets and commercial pipeline management. The role will be partnering closely with LEAN leader for consulting services organization to ensure that standard work is implemented and managed in the strategy and commercial workstreams. The role will act as a key partner to regional business development teams acting as a key enabler for implementing systematic ways of demand creation, sales origination and sales execution
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive Sales force effectiveness, productivity, Salesforce CRM platform and tools, lead for commercial planning and forecasting, Ensures data integrity in Commercial and other core systems (CRMs, SFDC, ERPs, etc.).
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, sales processes, campaigns. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Implement sales operations and commercial excellence strategies, enable development of sales collateral, and sales tools to enable orders and sales growth
- Play the central role to coordinate with regional and practice teams to develop consolidated Business Intelligence roadmap including key areas of SAS assessment, customer and competitor intelligence
- Responsible for designing and implementing solutions to enable the analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements.
- Enable practice leaders to build and execute annual resourcing playbook as part of the consulting S&OP activities
- Sales force effectiveness, win/losss analysis, productivity analysis, allocation of resources and territory coverage, Salesforce CRM platform and tools focal point, lead for commercial planning and forecasting, Inquiry to Order (ITO) processes, ITO lead for business reviews. Cleans and maintains data in Commercial and other core systems (CRMs, SFDC, ERPs, etc.).
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes
- Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
- Evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a commercial decision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in related functional area
- Significant experience in a related field, in sales planning, finance and/or commercial processes.
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to implement the Systematic Approach to Lean
- Familiarity with integrated business planning disciplines including S&OP and its interactions with longer term horizon planning such as Strategic planning, annual budgeting process & short term planning such as master scheduling & execution
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
