SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Cage & Credit Operations, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, cash handling, internal controls, operational efficiencies, and financial and operational analysis over cashier cages, and vault.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Ensures the integrity, maintenance and protection of the casino bankroll.
- Maintains awareness of all floor activities.
- Oversees the management of the cashier and vault functions and timely and accurate reporting and analysis.
- Supports and provides feedback to the Director of Cage and Credit Operations regarding the cashier, vault and count room functions.
- Assists in the year-end audit process.
- Assists the Director of Cage and Credit Operations in budget preparation and maintenance.
- Assists operating departments with any accounting related procedural/control concerns and gives guidance to the departments in formulating and implementing control procedures.
- Acts as l ia ison between gaming and non-gaming operations and finance.
- Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.

- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor of Arts/Sciences degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in cash management and five (5) years management experience in the cage/vault operations of a computerized gaming/hospitality company preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: - Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
