Job Title:  Associate Fund Controller

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

While our primary location is in Latham NY, we will consider candidates outside of the Latham NY area for remote positions in the following states: CT, MI, NC, PA, TX

Job Type: Full-time

GPFS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Fund Controller to join a dynamic team. In this role you will lead a team of accountants in the processing and review of reconciling cash, securities and other financial transactions to ensure accurate accounting records for the assigned entities as well as prepare reports in accordance with various accounting rules, Partnership Agreements or client specific requirements.


Essential Functions

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting\Finance or related degree, Master's degree preferred
  2. 4+ years accounting experience, 2+ years private equity experience
  3. CPA qualification desired
  4. Strong knowledge of industry and accounting principles
  5. Ability to lead a team of Accountants\Senior Accountants
  6. Proficiency with software related products such as Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Master's degree in accounting or related field
  2. CPA
  3. Private fund administration experience

This role will be part of a fast-growing small business that from time to time may require hands on help for other client service work.
