We are offering an exciting position for an experienced ICU or Interventional Radiology RN in our inpatient IR department. We are looking for experienced RNs who can work per diem shifts.   Please note, this position does require on call.

Our Interventional Radiology team uses imaging technology such as CT, Fluoroscopy, and ultrasound to help guide procedures for diagnosing and treating certain medical conditions. Interventional radiology offers less invasive diagnosis and treatment options for conditions that have traditionally required surgical intervention. Our dedicated interventional radiologists are board-certified doctors who specialize in minimally invasive procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions. You will be working with a great team in our IR Department. Interventional radiology has many advantages, including: Shorter recovery time, due to fewer, smaller incisions than traditional open surgery Shorter hospital stay (for outpatient procedures) Less anesthesia required for conscious sedation

We offer the following IR tests and procedures: Stroke & Neuro intervention Vascular embolization Oncology intervention- Y-90 & chemo embolization Aspiration & Drainage Fistula-gram & Angioplasty Nephrostomy Stent Placement Uterine fibroid embolization Our Registered Nurses, physicians and other team members collaborate to provide the most positive patient experience possible.

Responsibilities: - The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services - Assists the patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. - Collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals, the Registered Nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.

Qualifications

Requirements Current WA State RN license is required.

1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.

CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.

Other certifications may be required for specialty areas.

Certification in Interventional Radiology Nursing is preferred.

ACLS will be required within 90 days.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Job Knowledge/Skills Ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with other departments and primary care providers. Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with patients and families presenting with a wide variety of conditions and behaviors.

Please note: This position does require on-call shifts. We do offer generous compensation for on-call hours and call-back pay.

The requirements are: (1) fullweekend per month. The weekend on call begins Friday evening at 6pm--> Monday morning at 07am; plus (2) weeknights per month. These two weeknight shifts are generally NOT scheduled back to back. Call begins at 7pm---> 7am.
