The practice is a busy academic orthopaedic department with multiple offices in the Tri-State area. The practice is recruiting an advanced practice provider to provide medical services for its joint replacement division.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Compassionate, energetic, responsible individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centric care in an orthopaedic joint replacement academic service.
- No call responsibilities. Occasional evening hours.
- Treats patients independently in an office and provides first assistant surgical services in the operating room.
- Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintains and reviews patient's records, charts and other pertinent information.
- Participates in research projects and educational projects.
- Performs related work as required.
Education: Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience. Experience in orthopaedic surgery is desired.
License/Registration: Valid licensure in both West Virginia and Ohio. Board certification is required.
