Pharmaron is a premier CRO dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of services from R&D to manufacturing throughout the entire drug discovery process. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to add a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Manager to our team to play a key role in driving our people strategy forward.

This role is located in Baltimore, MD, within the UMD BioPark.

What you will do:

As a Sr. HR Manager, you will carry out responsibilities that follow these functional areas: onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, employee development, training, performance management, succession planning, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

In addition:

• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures .
• Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the organization's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.
• Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions, in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including EEO and labor laws.
• Participates in operational staff meetings , providing guidance as needed.
• Recommends new approaches , policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives .
• Stay informed about HR trends and best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives to enhance employee experience and drive business results.

Your expertise in HR management, strategic, administrative and operationally are abilities that will drive success in this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives .
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
• Independent management of a site
