Essential Job Functions:1. Acts as liaison between the College, faculty, information technology staff, and/or vendors.
2. Organizes production and design of curriculum materials.
3. Assesses effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction.
4. Analyzes performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional systems, courses, or instructional materials.
5. Interviews subject matter experts or conducts other research to develop instructional content.
6. Confers with members of educational committees and advisory groups to obtain knowledge of subject areas and to relate curriculum materials to specific subjects, individual student needs, and occupational areas.
7. Designs learning products, including web-based aids or electronic performance support systems.
8. Develops instructional materials and products for technology-based redesign of courses.
9. Develops instruction or training roadmaps for online and blended learning programs.
10. Adapts instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners.
11. Updates the content of educational programs to ensure that students are being trained with equipment and processes that are technologically current.
12. Develops documentation or manuals according to applicable accreditation, certification, or other requirements.
13. Monitors the performance of applications systems and coordinates access and use.
14. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves software or other system problems.
15. Confers with applications and systems stakeholders about how to solve existing problems.
16. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as software configuration, software patching, and upgrades.
17. Monitors applications and/or systems performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
18. Inspects instructional equipment to determine if repairs are needed and authorizes necessary repairs.
19. Plans and conducts teacher training programs and conferences dealing with new classroom procedures, instructional materials and equipment, and teaching aids.
20. Teaches instructors to use instructional technology or to integrate technology with teaching.
21. Provides technical advice on the use of current instructional technologies, including computer-based training, desktop videoconferencing, multimedia, and distance learning technologies.
22. Provides technical support to clients in the implementation of designed instruction or in task analyses and instructional systems design.
23. Conducts or participates in workshops, committees, and conferences designed to promote the intellectual, social, and physical welfare of students.
24. Advises teaching and administrative staff in curriculum development, use of materials and equipment, and implementation of state and federal programs and procedures.
25. Ensures compliance with University and departmental policies and procedures.
26. Participates in the education of immersive learning for the student body.
27. Completes special projects as assigned.
28. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge:
1. Education and Training – Working knowledge or principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement or training effects.
2. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
3. Communications and Media - General knowledge of media production, visual, verbal, and interactive communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via written, oral, and visual media.
4. Computers and Electronics - General knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications, programming, and/or systems configuration.
5. Customer and Personal Service - Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.
6. Design – Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
7. Psychology – Working knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; and learning and motivation.
8. Telecommunications – Working knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunication systems.

Up to two (2) years of instructional technology experience.
Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience with supporting classroom, online and web application environments and applications.
2. Comprehensive knowledge and extensive use of both Windows and MAC computer systems as well as other standard office equipment.3. Training and experience with advanced knowledge of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite, Web browsers, Databases system.4. Understand various instructional technologies tools, e.g. Blackboard LMS, Content Management Systems, Examsoft, etc. and possess intermediate understanding of database design and administration.5.
