Position Summary/Description:

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

The Director of Recruitment and Admissions provides leadership and guidance regarding the overall recruitment and enrollment efforts for the School of Education at UNC Chapel Hill. The main objective of the position is to develop prospects, recruit students, and follow through with the admissions and enrollment process until the time students graduate. This position is responsible for planning and executing targeted recruitment and admissions initiatives to increase prospects and enrollment in all undergraduate and graduate academic programs. For graduate programs, the primary focus will be at the master's level. Recruitment performance will be gauged by metrics linked to student prospects and pipeline development. Enrollment metrics will be linked to applications, from start of applications through matriculation.

The Director of Recruitment and Admissions carries primary responsibility for all recruitment, admissions, event management, and communication activities with prospective students to meet the School's enrollment goals, including counseling, recruiting, and evaluating prospective students, especially those who show high potential for acceptance and success in the School of Education. All of these actions require interpersonal, team building, computer, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to quickly develop deep and comprehensive knowledge of the School's programs of study. This position also involves outreach actions to increase awareness of the School of Education with a wide range of constituents, including high school, transfer, traditional, non-traditional, and international students, as well as parents, secondary schools, community colleges, and personnel from other institutions of higher education. The goal is to engage these various stakeholders, potential students, and others with an investment in education and in the development of recruitment pipelines to increase enrollments in undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Education.

Education and Experience:

* Experience in assessment of outcomes related to recruitment and admissions
* A master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or College Student Development or related degree is preferred
* 5-7 years' experience working in higher education with customized recruitment management systems admissions, and events planning, and execution preferred
* Experience in developing strategic outcomes and recruitment plans
* Demonstrated understanding of trends and challenges impacting higher education recruitment and admissions, demonstrated effectiveness in leadership and ability to promote inclusiveness and respect among students and staff
* Experience conducting a Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education ( CAS ) Assessment and/or self-study
* Experience working with, and creating budgets
