Position Overview:
In the role of Vice President of Mortgage Operations, you will be instrumental in guiding our operational achievements. This position calls for a highly motivated professional to lead our operations team, achieve and exceed monthly objectives, oversee staffing, and ensure compliance across all departments. Your role involves managing daily operations, forecasting funding and hiring needs, and fostering effective communication with various stakeholders. As a key leader, your presence on-site is vital to nurturing our dynamic culture and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, including Private Money Processing, Underwriting, Funding, and Servicing functions, staffing, and training initiatives.
Forecast mortgage pipeline requirements and manage resources accordingly.
Lead Process and Underwriting teams for efficient pipeline management.
Enforce internal compliance policies while delivering exceptional customer service.
Handle negotiations and resolutions with the Origination team, brokers, and clients regarding processing, underwriting, pricing, program changes, and loan requests.
Develop, manage, and update departmental workflows, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with Sales, Senior Management, and support teams to enhance operations.
Maintain ongoing communication with the Origination department to address service level concerns and suggest improvements.
Undertake additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
2-5 years of experience in Business Purpose private money lending.
3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in mortgage operations, with a focus on Business Purpose, hard money, or private lending.
Comprehensive knowledge of Mortgage Industry servicing practices.
Proficiency in interfacing with borrowers of various sophistication levels.
Strong communication skills, capable of directing the company's operational strategies to all team members.
Expertise in Loan Origination System (L.O.S.) Management.
Exceptional written and oral communication abilities for team interactions.
