Summary
CES is seeking a Senior Project Manager who provides leadership and delegation and is responsible for providing overall management of multiple projects, along with a team of managers, engineers, and coordinators. Provides direction for developing new business opportunities. Makes decisions and recommendations that can impact customer relationships and company profitability.
Essential Functions:
- Managing multiple full mechanical construction projects of various sizes and/or large multi-million projects.
- Supervises a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers. Guides and mentors his/her team on their projects.
- Maintain and monitor the full work scope and specifications of all project contract(s) and subcontracts throughout the entirety of the project.
- Collaborating with field labor supervision to plan, organize, and schedule project work and assure compliance with our Contract Agreements.
- Review of contracts, and subcontract agreements ensuring compliance and accountability. Creating project schedule of values, project budget, cost code schedule.
- Effectively purchase materials, equipment, and maintain ongoing controls and records.
- Composing and submitting progress payment applications and reviewing subcontractor payment applications. Tracking of progress payment within 60 days of submission.
- Estimate and effectively oversee change order process on projects, implement and develop cost and labor for submission to General Contractors or Owners per the CES agreement guidelines.
- Develop schedules and implementation for job tracking and review throughout the project to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Collaborating with the design team on design-build projects.
- Develops favorable relationships with clients in a business development capacity.
- Proven project management skills with a minimum of 10 years' experience in project management with full mechanical contracting or related construction firms.
- Ability to communicate effectively and ability to promote outstanding customer service and client communication with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such issues.
- Oversees personnel to achieve completion of the projection schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to current plans
- Assigns projects to team and works with pre-construction in facilitating turnover to construction Project Managers.
- Adhere to and support the company's Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Maintaining quality control for overall projects.
- Responsible for ensuring all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance with approved contract documents.
- Oversee Project Management team in the billing process and oversee the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
Qualifications
- Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering degree desired or equivalent 15 years in the industry with the last 10 years in a project Management role or supervisory capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively and ability to promote outstanding customer service and client Communication with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such issues.
- Good leadership and supervisory skills to motivate employees and keep morale.
- A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Incumbent must be insurable at all times by current CES insurance carrier
