Introduction
Avid4 Adventure is hiring full time seasonal (June-August) Camp Logistics Specialists in Washington, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado, and Maine. This position will support the logistics of one - two camp locations. The position is responsible for the ongoing management of the adventure gear used - daily distribution, inventory and maintenance of equipment at a designated camp. During the summer camp season, the Camp Logistics Specialists will support and work with Camp Directors to fulfill daily equipment needs and will work closely with camp staff to solve a variety of problems. This position will wear several potential hats- from box truck driver (you only need a standard driver's license), gear fixer, equipment organizer, camp staff, to quality control. This individual will be responsible for responding to unexpected events at the camp location and work to solve gear and vehicle specific issues. These positions will be based at a camp location in one of the aforementioned states and may require travel at the start and the end of the summer season to attend training and transport equipment from Colorado. About YOU
You are willing and able to spend 2-4 hours driving daily during the camp season.
This position will play a crucial role in gear distribution every morning of camp (June - August) and gear pick up every afternoon during the same season. Driving may include 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon in order to distribute kayaks, SUPs, bikes, and rock climbing equipment to various recreation areas in a particular geographic region.

Many times we have to change plans on the fly. You need to be able to accept and understand plan changes and execute the new plan at a moment's notice.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the local Regional Manager and Camp DIrector to learn best practices and to ensure all camps are receiving the support needed.
- Load, drive, and distribute sport equipment to/from staff and campers daily.
- Assist with training and any logistical needs prior to camp starting.
- Ensure all gear is clean and in good working order at all camps. Make repairs within your skillset and support equipment repairs through external vendors (i.e. coordinate bike drop off at a local shop, take trucks to service centers, etc.).
- Maintain detailed inventory and support restock of equipment as necessary.
- Assist with packing in at the end of the summer.
- Assist with end of season gear sales.
- Fill in as a substitute instructor when called upon.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21+ years old
- Comfortable with or willingness to learn Google email, spreadsheets and documents.
- Current driver's license with clean driving record.
- Minimum of Basic First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized provider.
- Ability to spend 3-5 hours per day moving, lifting, walking, squatting. Ability to spend 2-4 hours per day sitting and driving.
- Readiness to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including high heat, rain, and cold or windy conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in the camping or adventure sports industry preferred, but not required.
Compensation
- This position follows our pay structure for instructors which can be found here.
Work Location & Schedule:
- This position primarily works in and around 1-2 camp locations in Colorado, California, Washington, Illinois, Minnesota, or Maine. Please indicate your location preference through the application.
- This position is scheduled to work mid May - mid-August
- Attendance at staff training is required, late May or early June in the region local to your camp. Training will include sport training for camp and driver training for vehicles.
- Full time hourly work between 7:30am - 4:30pm daily, one hour lunch
- Full time schedule will generally be Mondays-Fridays, with occasional weekend work, especially at the beginning and end of the season.
Example daily routine (all times are subject to change):
- 15 minutes: report to camp headquarters, check in with team
- 2.5 hours: driving and gear deliver to staff and campers
- 1.5-2 hours: gear organization, maintenance, various camp support tasks
- 1 hour: lunch
- 2.5 hours: driving and picking up gear from staff and campers.
- 15 minutes: check out with team
