Outgoing, energetic dance instructor needed for fall and spring programs as well as summer camps at the George Wilson Center, located at 303 New London Road (across from Clayton Hall). Classes include Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, and Little Feet along with other styles instructor might be interested in offering including adult classes. Current classes range for ages 6-10 and introductory Little Feet/creative movement dance class for ages 4-6. Classes are scheduled one night per week from 5:15 - 8:00 p.m. The instructor position starts at $20 - $22/hour based on experience. Current program runs in two sessions, the spring session runs from February - May with a recital in May and the fall session runs from September - December with a recital in December along with a weeklong summer camp. Must have dance experience. Experience working with children and dance instruction experience is preferred. City of Newark Dance Instructor rate of pay begins at $20.00 - $22.00/hour based on experience.
