Dauphin County Technical School is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Director. This is a full-time position with a start date of no later than July 1, 2024. Dauphin County Technical School is a comprehensive CTE which includes academics and 25 Programs of Study. Dauphin County Technical School is comprised of seven consortium school districts in Dauphin County. The student population is 1164.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills with a particular focus in Career and Technical Education, including knowledge of educational trends in secondary CTE, adult workforce training, academic advancement strategies, advisory committees, CTE and academic staffing needs, research and policy, facilities management, technology, best practices, and CTE finance/budgeting. This position requires an effective communicator who collaboratively engages all business, industry, and education stakeholders as well as students and the community. Experience in student admissions, marketing, and obtaining federal and state funds is highly recommended. The Administrative Director must have demonstrable and proven ability to maintain positive and collaborative staff and board relations and must demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Salary is negotiable, based on training, experience and education. Masters’ degree required, with five years of successful supervisory experience in career and technical education preferred. Pennsylvania certification as a Career and Technical Administrative Director required.
