DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, independently perform skilled work consistent with the automotive industry such as troubleshoot, repair, service and adjust UCDS's fleet of vehicles such as: automobiles, alternative fueled vehicles (electric, hybrid, hydrogen, propane, etc), trucks, vans, scooters, carts, etc. Inspect and diagnose components and sub systems to determine necessary repairs; make minor to major repairs; fabricate, construct and/or modify new or special components, mechanical, and engine parts as needed. Install and repair special equipment, machinery and computerized systems used in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment. Troubleshoot and repair systems and components; perform minor welding work; estimate the cost of materials and labor for work orders; and keep simple records and prepare reports as necessary.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $56,814 - $77,256 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $27.21 - $37.00

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
