As part of the Growth team focused on partnerships, you will play a crucial role in expanding our brand presence and customer base through affiliate, influencer, and strategic partnerships. Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing, you will be tasked with cultivating and managing our existing affiliate channel partnerships while building the targeting strategy, recruiting and onboarding new strategic partners, affiliates, and influencers.
You will work cross-functionally with the leadership team, Marketing, CX, Business Operations, and Product teams. Success in this position requires a keen, creative mind, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment, and an intrinsic drive to build and sustain meaningful relationships with current and prospective partners and affiliates. Key Responsibilities
- Build targeting strategy and lists, recruit new partners, affiliates, and influencers across an array of channels
- Support the Head of Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing with developing the GTM partnership strategy and planning on a quarterly basis
- Build repeatable, scalable processes for prospecting and recruiting affiliates and influencers; use different techniques for cold and warm email, LinkedIn, and phone prospecting.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing partners and affiliates, providing them with the necessary resources, support, and guidance to maximize their performance.
- Support Strategic partnership pitches, negotiations, and onboarding.
- Help manage affiliate and influencer marketing platforms (Impact, CJ, etc.)
- Develop compensation structures to optimize the ROI of affiliates; get creative in developing programs and incentives to win and incent affiliates
- Monitor and analyze affiliate and influencer performance, track key metrics against goals, and provide regular reports to optimize ROI
- Perform competitive analysis and find opportunities for us to win against top competitors. Stay current on the latest news and trends across the industry.
- Ensure affiliate and influencer referrals are qualified and commission payments are accurate; manage issues related to fraud and referral quality
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Design teams to create engaging affiliate marketing materials, including banners, landing pages, and promotional content.
Required Skills and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in partner management, channel management, or business development. Tech start-up experience is highly preferred.
- Affiliate Program Expertise: Prior experience building, implementing, and scaling B2C or SMB affiliate programs. Proficient in building relationships within various verticals/industries and articulating strategies. Familiarity with platforms like Upfluence, ShareASale, and Impact.com is preferred.
- Excellent Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented assignments while keeping sight of overarching objectives.
- Data-Driven Approach: Analytical mindset with expertise in marketing tools like Excel, GA4 and a knack for defining goals and tracking performance.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex issues and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Market Awareness: Acumen in staying updated on industry trends, recognizing potential new partners, and leveraging industry events for networking.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: High accountability and ownership with attention to excellence and effective collaboration. Desire to work in a high-growth and fast-moving company with high expectations.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Tech start-up experience
- Direct real estate investing experience
- Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
- Ability to make critical decisions independently
- Ability to travel within US & Canada (1-2 times per quarter)
