Job description

Clinical reference laboratory in Ocala FL is seeking to hire a full-time phlebotomist/medical assistant. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am -4:30pm.. Medical, dental and vision benefits are options available to full time employee. In addition, company paid $50K life insurance policy. 401K enrollment thru ADP Totalsource is available. Salary compares to area hospital systems and reference laboratories.

Job duties-

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary technique for all age groups
• Process and prepare specimens for testing
• Perform patient information data entry into laboratory information system
• Collect and process patient insurance billing information
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Administrative and clerical duties as assigned
• Provide superior customer service
• Maintain HIPPA and OSHA compliance

Job requirements-

• Medical assistant certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record

Experience requirements-

Minimum of two years phlebotomy and medical assistant experience required.
