Job description
POSITION PURPOSE: The Indirect Procurement Manager sources, contracts, and manages the performance of Indirect i.e., non-product, non-raw material, etc., suppliers used by Old World Industries. This position reports into the Procurement team and services the Old World Production & Distribution sites as well as the Corporate Office. This role will establish reliable supply chains, negotiate terms and conditions for cost efficiencies, ensure delivery of quality product, and drive product development opportunities. This role will also ensure sourcing processes and procedures are fully integrated to support internal business needs and company objectives. Position will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that our sourcing knowledge, relationships, and investments are effectively and efficiently leveraged.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide operational support to Old World’s Production and Distribution Centers and Corporate Office regarding procurement of Indirect material goods and services.
- Collaborate with Old World’s Procurement team, actively and continuously search for savings opportunities and process efficiencies across the Company’s portfolio of indirect goods and service purchases, including but not limited to the following categories:
- Supplies including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) stretch wrap and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Waste and Recycling
- Location services including security guards, landscaping, snow removal…etc.
- Professional services
- Office Supplies
- Lead Request for Proposal development and execution as well as commercial negotiations as appropriate.
- Enforce compliance with all Old World’s purchasing policies and approved vendors across the company’s locations.
- Work with the company’s Legal team to negotiate terms and enter new supplier contracts and/or manage and modify existing contracts. Manage Contract Renewal process as directed.
- Monthly Reporting to key stakeholders on savings, contract renewals, Project pipeline (New, Completed, In Progress) and Risks or issues with execution.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: - Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Efficient and effective communication and presentation abilities, with ability to tailor approach to best reach intended audience.
- Solutions-oriented strategic thinker who can easily identify high-priority, high-impact activities.
