Job description
Kelly Science is seeking an Animal Care Technician III for a growing company located in Boston, MA.
Pay: $28-32/hour depending on experience
Shift Options:
Tuesday-Saturday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm Sunday- Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pmEmployment type: Full Time; Temp-to- Hire
Summary:
You will be responsible for daily operational maintenance of the animal facilities and in providing appropriate daily husbandry to various laboratory animal species in accordance with all guidelines, regulations, and SOPs.Job Duties Include:
Responsible for maintenance of animal facilities including sanitization of animal rooms, corridors, and equipment.
Provide proper daily husbandry to predominantly rodents.
Responsible for environmental monitoring and sentinel animal program oversight and ensuring optimal vivarium support to the site operations in vivo research (client) community.
Coordination and documentation of preventative maintenance of the vivarium physical plant.
Draft and perform periodic reviews of operation SOPs and global operations program development.
Responsible for consumable supplies inventory management, ordering/receipt of incoming animals & supplies.
Performing basic veterinary care/treatment functions
Responsible for document management and compliance with all institutional, governmental, accrediting protocols & policies.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
7+ years of experience working within care for laboratory animals.
2-5 years of leadership experience strongly desired.
AALAS-LATg and/or ILAM (or international equivalent) required.
