Job description
SUMMARY: Genesis Career College in Dalton, GA, a team-oriented institution of higher education that operates in concert with 10 other campuses across 4 states, is searching for an enthusiastic and student-centric Admissions Counselor for the Dalton, Georgia area. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the ideal candidate will have detailed familiarity with the college admissions process and the use of relevant data to drive our growth strategy. As an Admissions Counselor you will prepare prospective students with the tools necessary to get started down their chosen career path. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, people-oriented, have a winning and competitive attitude, and goal-oriented with the ability to build relationships with potential students and families. The Admissions Counselor recruits and serves prospective students through consistent correspondence, full disclosure of consumer information relevant to the campus and program, and following all necessary steps leading to and throughout enrollment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Lead/Applicant Processing
- Generate and correspond with leads through phone, email, and text
- Schedule appointments with prospective students
- Interview prospective students
- Give tours of campus and educate prospective students on their program(s) of interest
- Participate in career fairs and community outreach
- Complete and process enrollment packages
- send/receive all official transcripts of new enrollments
- Finalize academic files before the start of classes
- Record all contact with prospective students
- Input new enrollments in computer system and upload academic files
- Aid students in their transition to the schedule and daily demands of their respective programs by continuing to stay in contact after enrollment
- Network with local industry businesses and aid in student and graduate job placement
- Other assignments and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:

- Familiarity with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, as well as familiarity with remote audio/visual technologies and admissions-centric CRM softwares
- 2+ years in recruitment and/or proprietary education (preferred, though not required)
Salary and Benefits :
- Hourly range between $20 and $24 per hour, commensurate with experience
