The National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF) is the only national, multi-issue Asian and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women's advocacy organization in the United States. We are building a movement to advance social justice and human rights for AAPI women and girls in the U.S. We implement our vision by increasing the leadership, power and visibility of AAPI women and girls through five strategies: base-building and leadership development; research and public education; government affairs advocacy, grassroots multi-issue organizing; and strategic collaborations. Founded in 1996, we are a growing and dynamic organization with staff in six cities.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In NAPAWF’s five-year strategic direction the organization committed to four pillars, the third of which focuses on creating strong partnerships and being a movement leader to increase NAPAWF’s power in strategic solidarity with others who share our priorities and values. We aim to teach and implement our intention for cross-racial solidarity and live out the idea that our liberation is bound up in the liberation of other women of color, work in collaboration to build power across multiple constituencies, and be a leader in the AAPI progressive movement to champion intersectional rights of AAPI women and girls using the reproductive justice framework. The Director of Strategic Patrnerships works within the field and community engagement department to support the strategic partnerships goals to advance NAPAWF’s overall mission.

The Director of Strategic Partnerships will report to the Chief Program Officer.  This role is responsible for maintaining a broad and diverse base of public support for NAPAWF’s programmatic work, working with program leadership to establish collaborations that allow partners to understand the role of NAPAWF and collaborate with us meaningfully and strategically.
