Job description
Job Title: Kitchen Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Salary: $17 / Hourly
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and District Leader in the overall operations of the store with the main focus on delivering exceptional food quality and customer service. They are responsible for meeting performance and profit goals of the food service area while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions: - Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance for food service team members.
- Ensure the proper execution of assigned foodservice programs and procedures.
- Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.
- Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
- Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer complaints or inquiries.
- Manage matters relating to food service team members and the store team – recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, team member engagement and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate training programs through Coen Academy.
- Ensure the planning and execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures and practices.
- Analyze results and trends and prepares action plans to leverage the store’s strengths and address areas of opportunity. Ensure the execution of all action plans.
- Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities of team members to meet the needs of the business.
- Demonstrates ability to properly order, maintain and control inventory to increase profit margins.
- Cross trained in Team Member functions and responsibilities.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate degree in culinary arts or related discipline preferred.
- 2 years of leadership experience required, preferably in restaurant environment.
- Ability to learn and utilize the store’s computer applications required.
- Exceptional customer service, superior relationship building, and strong leadership skills required.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks for team members.
- Experience, skills and abilities consistent with Core Values and Leadership Competencies
- Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Licensure/Certification:
- Serv Safe/Other State or County Certifications within the first 90 days of employment.
- Valid State Driver’s License required.
