Job description
Is your passion to provide high-level service for patients while staying behind the scenes? DMOS is seeking a self-driven individual to connect patients to the resources they need! As a Patient Scheduling Specialist you will assist patients over the phone with scheduling appointments and/or directing them to the correct DMOS resource. Prior experience in a call center environment and/or great customer service skills are a plus. This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday opportunity.

Do I want to do this job? You will be working on the second floor of a medical office. You will have multiple team members around you, but you have your own cubicle that can be tailored to your style. You will have conversations with strangers who may be in pain and need help. You will wear a headset, take in calls, gather information accurately and quickly about patients, insurance and their situation. You will help match them with either a referred provider or the first available provider for their particular issue. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You can work the hours for this position Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Can I do this job? You must be able to be on the phone for long periods of time that may seem unnatural. You must have a high school diploma or GED. We will train entry level candidates with passion so don’t be deterred. You have prior experience working in a call center environment. Prior experience working in a medical office setting. You have great communication skills. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You are passionate about patient care. You have to be able to use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic.
