Job description
What will you do?
Debugs and solves problems existing mechanical and electronic designs
Collaborate with manufacturing to improve product documentation, work instructions (WI), test procedures
Participates with R&D in initial product development product builds and validation
Defines and integrates factory and service test equipment
Implements engineering change orders to support manufacturing and/or service as needed
Applies Practical Process Improvement (PPI) tools to lead or facilitate productivity, scrap reduction, process improvement, and cost improvement projects
1+ years of experience in high-tech industry environment in service, development, or manufacturing
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a combination of technical education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
Able to tackle sophisticated electro-mechanical systems using electrical schematics, DVM, oscilloscopes, function generators and spectrum analyzers
CAD Software using Autodesk Inventor, Siemens PADS PCB
Experience with FMEA, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and Design of Experiments
Able to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining collaboration of multi-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships
Experience using Product Document Management systems including Siemens Teamcenter
Experience in bringing technology solutions to improving the quality, efficiency, and cost
Experience in semiconductor capital equipment
Experience with Microsoft Office applications to analyze, organize, and communicate data/information throughout the organization in a clear and concise manner
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Understanding and experience with low level analog signal processing
Knowledge of key technologies including motion control, process automation, optics, and material selection, Electrostatic discharge (ESD), Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA)
