Job Summary: Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.
Job Duties: - Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
- Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
- Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
- Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
- Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
- Assists in approved research activities.
- Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
- Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and formal training.(Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound = 2 years).

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience* (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body, Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
