We are looking for a talented and motivated individual as a
Part-time to Fulltime Intern in Embedded Software Engineering. The right candidate will have the opportunity to be a contributor in firmware development and implementation for our Pro AV products
. This is a hands-on, part-time, temporary position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : - Assist and participate in firmware development, design and review for new products and prototypes.
- Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
- Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments and create end user documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
- Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
- Participate in lab maintenance.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION : - Student enrolled in at least a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
SKILLS : - Preliminary hands-on experience in C.
- Preliminary hands-on experience with developing firmware for Arm Cortex M/ STM32 Micro-controllers.
- Preliminary hands-on experience with peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM).
- Applied scripting techniques (shell scripting, Perl, Python) to improve efficiency.
- Knowledge of hardware schematics.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
