RN wound/ostomy
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in specialty applying for. American Heart Association BLS Certification is required. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, etc. may also be required for some units (Career Placement Specialist will specify).

JOB DESCRIPTION Wound and Ostomy nurses care for patients with wounds caused by medical treatments, diseases, or injuries. Nurses will also provide post-surgery treatments and care for patients with ostomies. These nurses often work with a healthcare team that assesses patients, manages wounds and monitors healing. Nurses work to prevent bedsores, help ulcers, abscesses and feeding tube sites to heal quickly, clean wounds and develop wound care treatment plans.
