Infection Preventionist Job LocationsHebrew Home at Riverdale is part of a group of long-term care affiliates under the brand name of RiverSpring Living. RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long-term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care. Hebrew Home at Riverdale is looking for a full time Infection Preventionist to join our dynamic team.
This Infection Preventionist role offer's a sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 ($5,000 at end of 90 day Probation and $5,000 on (1) One year Anniversary, less applicable taxes).
Compensation: $125,000 min. to $150,000 max. Annually
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibility of the Infection Preventionist is to implement the Infection Control Program and activities in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs. Oversees and conducts wound care assessment in collaboration with wound care consultant and completes documentation as applicable in the absence of the Wound Care Manager. Manages and supervises the staff activities and ensures staff competencies in the delivery of care.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully Associate's Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor's Degree or MSN from an accredited university preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience as a staff nurse, a minimum of 1 year experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care facility or other related medical facility and a minimum of 1 year experience supervising and implementing infection control programs. Must possess a current NYS RN license and certification in infection control. Knowledge of federal and state regulations. Must be able to speak, write and read English. Strong clinical competencies, communications and writing skills and the ability to manage staff and resources required.
Compensation: $125,000 min. to $150,000 max. Annually
