This is local position in Northfield, MN.  Candidates must be located near or willing to relocate on their own to the area.

A well-established company is seeking a 2nd shift  MIG Welder  with mild steel and stainless steel  in  Northfield, MN.

Pay: $20 - $32/ HR

Shift: 2nd: 3pm - 12 am (Mon - Thurs), Overtime on Fridays

Description:

• Candidates will be MIG welding on mild steel, and stainless steel to produce exhaust systems for power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction and off road markets.
• Tack welding will also be a part of the duties along with assembling the exhausts.
  • majority of the work will be a mix of custom and production style MIG welding.
• Need to know how to read blueprints and weld symbols. Being able to do a variety of tasks throughout the shop is key to learning and growing within the company.
• May also be asked to assist with fabrication work such as running a brake press, shear, roller, etc.

Not every exhaust is built the same which is why it is very important to understand how to read blueprints.
