The PXP Senior Editor has a wide-range of responsibilities, as he/she handles everything from editing national broadcast and web content to short-form social work. The Senior Editor will be running edit sessions by themselves and needs to be strong in client management skills. The PXP Senior Editor will be supported by studio leadership but is also expected to build strong relationships with clients who then become long-term partners. The PXP Senior Editor will be expected to be creating work at the pinnacle of their craft.
Position is required to frequently shift focus, task, and responsibility while working on multiple projects. Person must have a level head and be a clear, quick thinker. Ability to transfer information to teammates is a must. Person must have an in-depth understanding of how to create content that appears in social spaces (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.). Must have the ability to find solutions to quickly turn around projects. A high degree of accuracy, creativity, and professionalism is expected
Responsibilities
Editing everything from national broadcast work to social content to web videos.
Working in sessions with agency and brand clients on high profile campaigns.
Mentoring Assistant, Junior and Mid-level Editors to ensure that they are being trained and that creative and technical knowledge is being disseminated.
Acting as a Creative Lead throughout the entirety of a campaign and working with other PXP disciplines (motion design, color, mix, etc.) to ensure that the creative vision on every project is reached.
Always working to improve their reel to ensure that PXP leadership can be selling them on upcoming projects.
Partnering with the Lead Editor of their studio - as well as PXP national leadership - to ensure that their studio is set up properly in an operational and technical sense.
Partnering with the Lead Editor of their studio - as well as PXP national leadership - to ensure that their studio is being positioned correctly in their local market and that all opportunities are being pursued.
Cultivating existing and new client relationships to ensure the creative and financial health of their studio.
Location & Commitments
Full-time role, in-person/in office will resume as a hybrid approach to work.
Travel may be required for production needs.
Overtime may be required to deliver on client projects and deadlines.
Expert-level in Premiere Pro.
Proficient in After Effects, Resolve, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Must have a dynamic reel with work in either automotive, food/beverage, packaged goods, or beauty.
Deep technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline.
Dynamic, creative personality.
Passionate, driven, proactive, curious and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Strong sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks/tasks.
Compensation Range: $98,500 - $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills,
