Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintain restaurant security by keeping doors locked during non-business hours
- Utilize chemicals as described in OSHA MSDS book
- Clean and restock restrooms
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Mix water and detergents or chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to OSHA regulations
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- High dust artifacts, air conditioning ducts, ledges and bar cages
- Ensure parking lot, landscape,and back dock areas are clean and free of debris
- Change out facility and outside light bulbs using appropriate ladders
- Operate dishwashing machine as necessary, appropriately loading dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans into dishwashing machine and maintaining accurate levels of chemicals
- Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
- Maintain a clean and safe environment reporting any unsafe procedures or conditions to anyone in management
- Comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes as well as Razzoos policies and procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager at any time
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Move about the dining and kitchen areas quickly and carefully
- Stand/walk during entire shift
- Climb ladder when reaching for items that are on upper shelves
- 20/20 Near Vision, with correction the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Manual Dexterity the ability to quickly move hand, hand and arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects
Working Conditions:
- Narrow spaces behind bar, between dining tables and in kitchen area
- Exposure to varying chemicals
- Wet conditions
- Cleaning tools, i.e., vacuum cleaners, floor polishers
- Heights, including top of building
Experience/Education/Knowledge Requirements:
- Previous Janitor experience in restaurant environment is helpful, but not required
- Knowledge and appropriate use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Successful completion of Razzoos training for this position is required
- Must be of legal age to operate certain equipment in compliance with federal, state or local laws
