Job description

Under the general direction of the Assistant Administrator and Unified Administrator, the  Operations   Manager is responsible for multi-site clinical operations pertaining to the provision of clinical services for all specialties and sub-specialties provided at the site. Supports the department's mission through oversight and management of all non-clinical and clinical staff with specific regard to staffing levels to support the clinical service, and to ensure patient health care needs are satisfactorily met. Continuously evaluates site to identify and address potential compliance matters or implements a corrective plan of action in accordance with internal and external regulatory agencies including TJC, HIPAA, Infection Control, CAP, Professional Services, and Environment of Care. Assists with budget development around OTPS, salaries, and capital expenditures, and is responsible for monitoring and managing the site's budget to ensure expenses stay within budgetary guidelines, and there is clear justification for capital expenditures.

Education/skills required

• Bachelor’s degree coupled with five (5) year’s work experience required; Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years practice management experience acceptable in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• Understanding of health care and/or private practice operations for OBGYN and Women's Health including; but not limited to, specialties such as Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics.
• Superior managerial skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledgeable in Governmental and Commercial insurance payors, including referral and authorization requirements and processes for surgical procedures as well as labor and delivery.
• Understanding of the front-end processes that drive the revenue cycle with specific regard to clean claims.
• Knowledgeable of regulatory compliance rules such as those governed by The Joint Commission
• Use of analytics and metrics
• Proficiency in or knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience in EHR and patient Management Systems such as Epic a plus.
• Knowledge of office administration procedures and clerical duties.
