THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR MAIL SPECIALIST
THE SCHEDULE:
This Mail Specialist position works 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. From time to time, you are required to cover other facilities in NY or NJ.
YOUR ROLE:
When joining our team as a Mail Specialist, you become a valued member of our team at the Port Authority Technical Center in Jersey City, NJ. You handle incoming calls from the public, ensuring they reach the right contacts seamlessly. But, here's the exciting part – you get the chance to personally deliver envelopes and parcels weighing up to fifteen (15) pounds to various spots in the five boroughs of New York City, NY, and in Jersey City, Newark, and Hoboken, New Jersey. Occasionally, you might be asked to cover other facilities in NY or NJ. Moreover, you actively contribute to the smooth operation of our organization. Imagine yourself performing basic procedures on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. From completing forms to entering data, and from crafting to responding to emails, you play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations.
