The Situation
We produce produce solar electricity, heat, and green hydrogen to
industrial and utility customers is growing so fast we need an experienced Senior Project Engineer Renewable Energy to engineer our commercial systems and then make sure that they get built and operate as engineered.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer Renewable Energy
1. Leads, conducts, coordinates, and manages all engineering related to commercial applications,
from feasibility studies through to testing and commissioning and subsequent operation,
maintenance, and repair post-sale.
2. Leads, conducts, coordinates, and manages all activities related to re-engineering equipment
and systems to drive down manufacturing and deployment costs.
- Leads engineering-for-manufacturing efforts.
- Ensures that in-field lessons lead to rapid improvements.

3. Stays abreast of future and new science, technology, and products that might compete and/or
that may be potentially complementary with the company
Experience
Ideal
- Led, coordinated, and managed applications engineering for industrial and utility systems that use multiple clean energy technologies OR
- Was considered by his peers the top performer of their applications engineering team and is ready to advance to a more senior position.
- Formal engineering training, bachelor-equivalent degree or higher, eg, masters. Areas include power, mechanical, thermal, and electrical engineering.
- 15+ years in renewable technology and applications engineering of power/heat projects and systems.
- Deep skills in FMEA, controls, systems modelling, Solidworks or comparable, etc.
- Deep skills in the latest team collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, document sharing).
Desirable
- Led, coordinated, and managed all technology, systems, and product development for a PV or other renewable energy company OR
- Of a substantial portion of a CSP system OR
- Of a related power or energy technology, systems, and product company.
- 10+ years leading or being a key team member of CSP technology, product, and/or applications engineering teams.
- Ideally but not required, deep engineering experience in modular CSP systems. Experience managing virtual teams in multiple time zones and cultures.
