DIRECTOR OF SEL AND STUDENT AFFAIRS
12 MONTH POSITION

The Bridgeport Board of Education is committed to working with students and their families to promote regular attendance, which in turn, encourages personal growth by preparing the student to accept similar responsibilities in the world outside of the school setting. The Director of SEL and Student Affairs will oversee the Bridgeport Public School District's Student Information System (SIS). The Director will be responsible for monitoring data, developing programs, collaborating with LEAP (Learner Engagement and Attendance Program) facilitators, be responsible for, and build relationships with students and families and be the lead in all SEL initiatives in the district to address the causes of chronic absenteeism, tardiness and student engagement. The Director will also support schools and students in disciplinary issues and proactive support to reduce behavior concerns.

This is a BCAS union position. The 2023-2024 salary range (Group 2) is MA $129,445 to PhD $162,351. Includes all benefits as outlined in the current contract.
