Responsibilities
Collaborates with Program Director to ensure that program meets or exceeds all accreditation requirements for the Joint Replacement and Spine Fellowship Programs.
Coordinates recruitment trips for faculty, assists faculty with credentialing and re-credentialing paperwork, and other administrative duties for both the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Assists with scheduling, SF match website is up to date, select deadlines and set up interviews, responsible for rank order, create rotation schedules, gather credentialing at corresponding hospitals, ensure credentialing is current and complete for all fellows, and mange and complete all OPPE’s.
Participates in the development and management of the UAMS College of Medicine (COM) GME Annual Program Evaluation. Is actively involved in the data collection and analysis as well as the written evaluation of program for the UAMS GME Annual Program Evaluation process.
Develops, reviews and updates program-level policies to be current with ACGME and/or GME requirements on an annual basis. Gathers and presents data and documentation for both Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) and Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) as outlined in program requirements and/or directed by GME and Program Director. Staffs meetings of PEC and CCC as directed.
Manages and renew all physician medical memberships & licensures, Update and manage Faculty’s Time & Effort reporting.
Submits reimbursements for faculty, staff &/or residents.
Assists with faculty, staff, residents & higher administrative officials when needed for various projects.
Maintains daily, weekly and yearly schedules for department faculty, assists with faculty recruitment.
Prepares and enters bi-annually Time & Effort for Orthopaedic and Research Faculty and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, oversees annual faculty Promotion and Tenure for Orthopaedic Department and PMR Department, assistant to hand, foot, oncology and spine faculty, answers and assists patient, physician, therapists and insurance calls.
Facilitates recruitment and guest visits, including but not limited to creating travel arrangements and transportation, organizing itineraries, and processing reimbursements.
Maintains confidential files and correspondence.
Prepares and process work orders for physical plant, telecommunications, and creative services.
Prepares and process letters and memoranda.
Other duties as assigned.
