Job description
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, PC (MAPMG) located throughout the metropolitan Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas is currently interviewing for an AHC/Urgent Care physician in our Largo Medical Center.
In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care. Through this partnership, our physicians are part of an industry-leading healthcare delivery model, having access to advanced technological tools and receiving comprehensive practice support.
MAPMG physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services. Our members have easy access to specialists and medical records, thus allowing you to treat the whole patient.
What You Can Expect: - Provide urgent care services in a non-traditional, collaborative mixed-specialty department, comprised of emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians working together and learning from each other
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as needed
- Educate patients on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Work every other weekend and split coverage for holidays
- Differential pay for physicians working all nights or all weekends
Minimum Requirements: - MD or DO
- Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
- Work visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.
