Diaconia, a leader in data analytics, cloud services, is at the forefront of harnessing the power of data to drive innovation and business growth. We are seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in Java, MongoDB, and Informatica to enhance our data processing capabilities and support our analytics and data science teams. This role is critical in building and maintaining an efficient and scalable data architecture that supports our business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
• Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
• Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
• Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
• Create custom software components and analytics applications.
• Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g., scripting languages) to marry systems together.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Java, MongoDB, and Informatica.
• 5+ years' Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• 5+ years' Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
• U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED to support our Federal client **NO EXCEPTIONS**
