Job Title Database Administrator (DBA)
Duration: 1 Year with high possibility of Extension
Location: Hybrid (St. Paul, MN 55108)
Description of Project:
The Client, in partnership with the Department of Corrections (DOC), seeks a Database Administrator (DBA) to join the Infrastructure Team. The DBA will collaborate closely with Server System Engineers and other teams within Client, DOC, and Enterprise.
The DBA will assist in migrating to new versions of SQL and ensure the availability and optimization of current MSSQL 2008 2022 databases. Occasional work with other platforms such as Oracle may be required. Additionally, the role requires experience in ETL processes and familiarity with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.

Desired Skills:
1. Experience with SQL server applications and supporting components, including SSIS and SSRS.
2. Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting ETL processes.
3. Ability to mentor IT staff and contribute to database design.
4. Experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance database infrastructure operations.
5. Leadership experience within a team of subject matter experts.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure SQL technologies.
7. Knowledge of AlwaysOn and other High Availability SQL technologies.
