Job description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. As an SLPA, you will play a critical role in assisting our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy services for pediatric population.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in speech screenings: Collaborating with speech pathologists to conduct screenings for speech therapy services.
- Administering standardized tests and scoring them under the guidance of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Implementing personalized treatment plans devised by the Speech-Language Pathologist for patients.
- Providing direct therapy services to clients, focusing on enhancing communication skills and addressing specific speech and language goals.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting progress and adjustments to treatment plans as directed by supervising SLP.
- Cultivating a collaborative environment by closely collaborating with other SLPs and SLPAs in the team. Participating in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and contribute to the overall success of the therapy program.
- Collaborate with other speech language pathology assistants in the team
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) License
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
