Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in Semi-Conductor industry as a Metrology Applications Engineer.
Job focus: Full wafer Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) metrology tools for Defect Review and/or CDSEM measurements with opportunities to expand in other areas of metrology as your career progresses.
Successful candidates will be trained in metrology tool applications for the following techniques: Full wafer Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) imaging for Defect Review, Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX) for defect elemental analysis, Critical Dimension Scanning Electron Microscope (CD-SEM) measurement and analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) for tool monitoring, Coupon sample mounting and SEM imaging using pocket carrier wafers, Data analysis, and Reporting generation.
Types of samples are representative of a diverse set of processes from across the integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing process and will provide a dynamic set of challenges and opportunities for growth over the long term.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop automation metrology recipes and perform Defect Review or CD-SEM measurements.
• Queue management of samples for assigned SEM tool balancing effective use of tool time with customer requirements.
• Maintain assigned SEM tool through: beam alignments, calibration checks, and troubleshooting of minor tool issue.
• Proper handling of sensitive customer samples and intellectual property.
• Work with process engineers in interpreting data and troubleshooting when data does not meet expectations.
• Maintain integrity of experiments and data to provide valid results.
• Document best known practices to assist process engineer's understanding of metrology results and tool capabilities.
• Actively participate in developing new techniques to for samples with advance metrology requirements.
• Provide new learnings and developments to others through documentation, presentations, and training sessions.
• Participate in evaluating new instruments for lab growth.
• Foster a healthy and inclusive working environment.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and cordial working relationships.

• B.S degree in Engineering, or Physical Science
• The candidate should possess good written and verbal communication skills to work with a large internal customer base.
• Proficiency with Windows PC’s and MS Office.
• Ability to lift 25-pound sample boxes.
• B.S or M.S degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
• Candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and interested in learning.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on several challenging complex tasks daily.
• Experience creating technical documentation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices and industry.
