- Experience in the field or in a related area as a senior Business Analyst (Technical). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Graduation with a bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job .
- Experience using GE s GIS SmallWorld Electric Office software
- Experience working as a GIS Analyst in an Electric Utility
- Experience working in an Electric Utility.
- Required Experience and Skills :
- Using knowledge of electric utility infrastructure and fundamental power principals : Required
- Good Knowledge with Geospatial Information System (GIS) Electric Power Grid (EPG) specifications and standards
- Individuals with experience using geospatial information systems (GIS) for modeling electric utility data is required for this position is Required

Essential duties and functions may include the following:
1. Coordinates the creation of catalog data for electric utility infrastructure to be used for model analysis by researching and collaborating with engineers, field personnel, and warehouse personnel.
2. Coordinates with designers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure accurate and timely modeling of electric utility infrastructure.
3. Coordinates programming activities such as design, testing, debugging, and documentation of geospatial applications.
4. Coordinates the research and interpretations of source records and documents.
5. Coordinates the GIS business process analysis, alternatives development, and makes recommendations.
6. Coordinates the requests for information from internal and external customers.
7. Coordinates the development of GIS analysis and mapping products based on user requirements.
8. Assists with upgrades including researching, testing, and implementing new geospatial technology.
9. Communicates and interfaces with members of the IT and user communities.
10. Coordinates initial quality control to ensure that data being developed meets spatial and content accuracy for desired database.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned
