Description
The Desktop Systems Administrator is a hands-on, senior member of the technical support team responsible for desktop, laptop, and mobile configuration and integration along with supporting applications on Windows,Mac operating and Linux systems. This position requires excellent prioritization, responsiveness, customer service, and verbal communication skills. This individual contributes to the efficient allocation of computer hardware and software resources, student support, and ensures the reliability, security, and sustainability of the client computing experience at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Using effective communication, technical, and analytical skills, the Desktop Systems Administrator manages projects, provides technical support, maintains resources, and, within delegated authority, supervises support personnel. In keeping with Hobart and William Smith Colleges community standards, the Desktop Systems Administrator develops positive working relationships with all HWS constituents.

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year, with a possible shortened workweek during the scheduled summer hours time period. Minimum starting salary of $58,500,
