Job description
Position Summary :
The successful candidate will develop, grow and manage a book of specialty workers compensation business through HUB, Specialty Program Group (SPG), and other distribution partners.
Generate new sales, assist underwriters in successfully renewing existing policies, and create new distribution relationships. The candidate needs to be proactive in developing relationships with HUB Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Sales Officers, Presidents, Producers, Specialty Practice Leaders, and SPG sales and marketing leadership. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), effective time management, strong analytical skills, and sales tenacity are requisite for success.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Drive ideation, plan and execute company's strategic growth goals.
Locate new sale opportunities for the company by visiting agencies and understanding their workers' compensation portfolio.
Cultivate strong, positive agent relationships to promote growth of new business and renewal retention.
Working knowledge and understanding of Workers' Compensation; ability to differentiate between carriers' offerings and underwriting appetite.
Increase brand awareness and educate HUB Branch Offices and Retail agency partners to generate sales through quality submission volume.
Drive positive key performance indicators for company.
In collaboration with the assigned underwriter strategically appoint new agents and brokers.
Emphasize value proportion of the Company to producers and agency personnel.
Maintain ongoing communications and relationships with key HUB stakeholders.
Gather competitive market intelligence and keep key stakeholders informed.
Assist in the creation of Sell Sheets and other marketing/sales flyers.
Monitor, measure, and distribute Agency production reports and to establish production expectations.
Work with all internal departments and our partners to resolve problems and maintain productive producer relations.
Create and maintain periodic management reports that track successes (increased submissions, quotes, and bound accounts)
Listen carefully and comprehensively to customers; interpret comments or questions and respond effectively and appropriately.
Contribute to Power Point presentations made to HUB agents in person or via Zoom/Teams.
Contribute to SPG newsletter, Wednesday Wins, etc.
Represent the company professionally at events/shows.
Oversee and Maintain agency/broker appointments and keeping E&O and licenses updated.
Participate as necessary on special committees and projects.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
An undergraduate degree preferred, or equivalent experience and 5+ years insurance experience with at least 2 years of workers' compensation background.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Passion for building relationships.
Excellent sales and Communication demeanor.
Be a self-starter, creative, and team oriented.
Ability to organize work; perform with time constraints and be self-directed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to adapt to significant change. (Carrier products and appetite)

Travel Requirement:
This position requires 50% travel during the first year of employment and 25% every year after.
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
