Blair Rubber Company has Quality Assurance Technician positions available for friendly, motivated, and career-minded team members. You'll be responsible for reviewing product and comparing it to standards. This position will work closely with the Technical department and Production department in regards to conformity of product. WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:
- Performing quality measurement and inspection of product, including certification of product that complies to the standard.
- Collection and recording of QA data collected in the appropriate software program. Reports can be generated from these databases.
- Investigation of production issues through data search as required.
- Responsible for ensuring testing is carried out on all products (raw materials, work in progress, finished goods and experimental materials).
- Testing includes but is not limited to curing, rheology, viscosity, Brookfield viscosity, gauge, durometer, tensile, tear and visual inspection.
- Review and testing of product non-conformances for root cause determination, disposition and documentation. Communication with Quality, Technical and Production.
- Inspection of incoming raw materials. This includes reviewing documents for compliance with the standard.
- Coordinate and maintain raw material SDS books. This includes reviewing new or updated SDSs and distributing them to books and electronic folders.
- Maintain calibrated equipment system.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum of three years quality experience in a manufacturing plant setting
- Minimum High School education or equivalent
- Rubber or plastics laboratory experience
