Job description
Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Plant Manager on behalf of our client, a Fortune 200 company. The Plant Manager will play a critical role in overseeing a state-of-the-art 24/7/365 dairy facility located in eastern Wisconsin. This position requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in dairy manufacturing, specifically in cheese and whey processing. The successful candidate will drive improved performance across safety, quality, sanitation, cost, customer service, cheesemaking, and labor/employee relations, aligning with business targets and supporting growth. Experience-Education (Required): 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with a proven track record in plant management leadership and sustainable results. Bachelor's degree in Science/Food Science, Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is required. Demonstrated success in LEAN/Six Sigma/TMM. Dairy manufacturing experience is essential, with a preference for Cheese and Whey processing. Proven expertise in developing teamwork, collaboration, and driving business results through effective people leadership and development. Ability to develop strategic plans and implement actions for the site. Proven track record in Manufacturing Transformation/change management, driving cost savings, and enhancing plant culture. Competencies-Skills (Required): Ability to effectively lead a diverse team, including managers, supervisors, engineers, cheesemakers, and union hourly workers, to achieve plant goals. Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams in corporate, including EHS, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Business teams. Technical acumen to solve problems and lead teams Clear and strategic leadership to define and execute plant goals with excellence. Prioritization of human safety and food safety in all operations. Solid financial background with the ability to understand and impact daily, monthly, and annual operational performance. Experience in developing and executing a capital budget. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience-Education (Preferred): Prefer a master’s degree in a related field. Progressive manufacturing experience in cheddar cheesemaking and dairy. Lean/Continuous Improvement certifications.
