Job Title: Furnace Operator

Location: Reading, PA

Rate: $25-32

Shifts Available : 2nd, 3rd available

Job Duties
- Operate and monitor furnace equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols
- Load and unload materials into the furnace using appropriate tools and equipment
- Set and adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and other variables
- Monitor gauges, meters, and indicators to ensure proper operation of the furnace
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on furnace equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may arise during operation
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to maintain product quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to optimize furnace performance and productivity

Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a Furnace Operator or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment related to furnace operation
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is a plus
- Familiarity with tooling used in furnace operations, such as lathes and electrical discharge machining (EDM)
- Ability to operate a crane for material handling purposes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Experience with press brake machines is beneficial but not required
