Job description
Consulting opportunity in a high leadership role. Our firm, BGSF, is seeking a Controller, who is open to contract engagements within the greater Houston area. This individual will represent as the most senior management official, directly responsible for the general accounting department and manages all accounting functions of the business.
- Supervises the people and departments below them (i.e. General accounting, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Audit, Tax, Cost, etc.)
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Asses current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Oversees regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Develops control systems over all company assets, internal and external
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strategic finance and accounting experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or Business related fields
- CPA highly preferred
- Preferred experience in either of the following: Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, Hyperion, OneStream, or HFM-Essbase etc.
- Strong proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables, LOOKUPs, Sum/Ifs
- Excellent internal / external customer service communication
