Job description
Under direct supervision of the Claims & Insurance Manager - this position processes claims and corresponds with the insurance carrier, adjusters & claimants, secures necessary documents, provides status updates, and maintains Claims database.
- Processing reported GL/AU incidents from claims system workflow.
- Liaison/Owner of all minor GL/Auto claims inventory
- Verifying that all alerts have a corresponding full report pending the incident report queue within 48 hours of the alert.
- Manually Keying all Call-In Claims
- Manually Keying all Self-Reported Claims to insurance carrier
- Charging minor GL/AU claims to projects through claims system
- Mail - Scanning and filing all Claims Department documents
- Run reports and prepare presentations as needed.
- Experience in a similar role.
- 4-year Degree/Certification preferred.
- Experience in insurance industry preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess excellent communication (written/verbal) and time management skills.
- Must be self-motivated and have strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
