Litigation Paralegal – Lake Mary, FL
Our client, a complex civil litigation firm, is hiring a Litigation Paralegal for their Lake Mary office. They offer a hybrid schedule, 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home.
Salary: $70,000-$85,000
Location: Lake Mary office 4 days per week and 1 day work from home
Responsibilities: - Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings).
- Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
- Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas.
- Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
- Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
- Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial).
Qualifications: - Minimum 1+ years’ litigation law firm experience
- Must have billing requirements
- Must have defense experience
- Must have experience preparing for trial.
- Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate required
