POSITION: Engagement Coordinator

TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Engagement Director

DEPARTMENT: Resident Engagement

STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly

SUMMARY

The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing multiple engagement programs to meet a variety of physical and cognitive needs with a balance of productive, leisure, self-care, restorative and spiritual activities all while recognizing individuality and well-being of each resident and adhering to the strict standards of Orchard Senior Living's philosophy of care.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Cognitive activities include, but are not limited, to arts, crafts, storytelling, poetry readings, writing, music, reading, discussion, reminiscences, and reviews of current events

o Recreational activities include all socially interactive activities, such as board games and cards, and physical exercises -Pet Therapy is encouraged

o Self-care ADLs include cleaning, dusting, cooking, gardening, and yard work-Residents must be allowed to perform self-care ADLs as a long as they are able to promote independence and self- worth
